The Good... the Bad...
and the Bullies.
I have been reading Romance for over twenty years and have watched it evolve. In the past few years, I have watched paranormal romance gain in popularity. Another trend that has become widespread is the chronicle or saga, the following of the lives of a family or of a story line. I too, have become irresistibly drawn to this genre. The Changing of Jazadeem introduces us to the men of the Varda family. They make their home on both the world of Beddia and Earth. As they possess the ability to ‘shift place’ this is easy for them. ‘The Changing of Jazadeem’ sets up the beginning of the chronicle. It is very well done. There are twists and turns that I did not see coming.
When romance becomes predictable, which most romance is, no matter how well it is written it gets boring. This is not so with this new entry into paranormal romance. I not only liked the naughty but nice mix of the male, female lead characters, Sasha and Aidan, but there were several compelling characters, a really juicy storyline, and a dark and dangerous undertone to Colby’s writing. She has a uniquely dry wit and satirical zingers were laced throughout.
I found it sexy, funny, exciting and addicting.
Hiro... from Book 4
The Adventure at MoonFlower Rock
I wish I was Kess. Fallon AND Nomadi. Geez, how do I get one of these guys?
I laughed. I cried. I forgot to breathe. Coolest Chronicle ever. Sexy thrilling. Scary accurate insights into people's hearts and minds. More! Just give me more.
Enough said !
Who is your favorite man?
The men are absolutely yummy. Colby left me needing to know what happens with Hiro…I’m in love… I hope that Sasha’s suspicions are correct. Vichon could not have been sweeter or sexier… And bad boy Reza left me breathless. Even King Baj-rei…father to the Varda was a powerfully charismatic figure. As they embark on this adventure and discover their world is in peril, the interplay between the characters is cultivated with skill.
Very well done. With a compliment of compelling characters and a really juicy story line, in The Tempting of Fate there are dark and dangerous undertones to Colby’s writing. She has a uniquely dry wit and satirical zingers were laced throughout. I found it sexy, witty, exciting and addicting. She is making a great showing as one of the best new voices in Paranormal Romance
Here we go... I Love Reza, but never in a million years would I have suspected him of hooking up with the assassin. Not after what happened between him and Leeanan. And I really thought that after what happened with Zan, the assassin was being set-up to hook-up with him. But I loved the way it played out.
Reza wasn't what I thought he was going to be.
Review: The Changing of Jazadeem
By: Ellen Tanner Marsh
Mysterious, sensual and full of romance this is a wildly imaginative story set beyond the stars. Colby keeps her page turning story humming by delivering a cast of characters that are absolutely unforgettable. Her writing is bold, brilliant and brims with both sultry romance and a refreshingly wry wit. The Changing of Jazadeem is so delectably exciting that it is virtually light years ahead of every other romantic sci-fi fantasy on the market.

Tessa E. Colby delivers her readers an exciting novel that is sure to keep you turning the pages. This romantic read is much more than that; it has elements of mystery, suspense, and a bit of drama as well. All of the characters in this book come alive, due to the talent of Colby. As a reader, you feel as if you are a part of the story, watching everything unfold before your eyes. Sasha Romanoff is an exciting character, very likable. Her first woman art show was a success; so much so, she received a mysterious blank check from a prince. He wanted to buy all of her work, which was an exciting thought for Sasha. She went through with it, but was it the wrong decision? Readers continue reading through Sasha's adventure after that one split decision changed her life forever. What is the dark prince after? What will happen next? These are questions that had me up all night to find out. Highly recommend this book, It's truly one of a kind.
I have become a big fan of Tessa E. Colby. She is an author with a lot of talent, and I truly feel as if she's going to make it big sometime soon. Dark Irresistible Things: Episode 6 has been the best book I've read by her thus far. The characters in her book come alive, and the storyline is intense and relatable. Claire thought she met the love of her life; he seemed perfect, despite the business trips he sometimes had to take. She had secretly hoped the day would come where he would propose marriage to her. Will Claire get everything that she ever wanted? This book contains romance, mystery, and some drama as well. It is truly an action packed read, that will keep you up for hours on end to finish. Overall, all of Tessa E. Colby books I've read have been great, and I can't wait for The Black Express Cafe'.
Review : Tessa E. Colby does it again, serving up yet another page turner with The Prisoner of Nimm: Episode 2. It has been a long time since I was truly engrossed in the work of a particular author, but I can't seem to get enough of Tessa's work. She writes in a way that makes you want to keep turning the pages until you find out what will happen next. Her characters and storyline both come alive, making you feel as if you are transformed into another world. I have never really enjoyed Sci-fi fiction stories before, but Tessa has made me want to explore this genre even more. This book contains suspense, romance, and is extremely sexy as well. Highly recommend!
I read the Chronicle because I love the way you write men. I love that these strong, versatile men are humanized by the events surrounding them. Gretta
